This weekend, I joined the Richton Park Human Relations Commission and the Community Relations Department for the 7th Annual “I Make a Difference Award” celebration. The celebration honored outstanding volunteers in the community. Also in attendance was Senator Mike Hastings as the guest speaker and Lt. Governor Sheila Simon. With the addition of the new Richton Park library in the last few weeks, Richton Park has one of the most functional and beautiful municipal campuses in the South Suburbs. Come out and see us, and you can check out the windmill that makes sustainable power for the Village Hall.
